Welp looking through this thread made me envious a bit. Though my job requires me to travel to locations so cant take more than like a backpacks worth of tools (I do have some tool bags just been lazy and havent organized everything yet). Right now I got a bunch of hand me down tools and a new makita impact and drill. Gets my assembly job done well enough but seeing all yalls fully stocked garages...

Something silly, but I completed filling my socket rails today. Combination of Craftsman, Tekton and anything they did not have, Snap-on; but very little.

that's always been one of the biggest negatives of those types of socket rails for me. far too many sockets i don't use or need, but there's an empty post driving me insane!

i also don't like that there's no places for doubles or triples of the common sockets. i like to keep extra 10mm sockets, in 6 and 12 point, as well as 7/16".

I just keep my extras on the rail style socket holder. Or like 10mm they are just in a baggie lol. I bought a bulk pack of them a few years ago...was like 20 of em for 10 bucks or something.

I need to fab a board stop for my miter saw. I don’t have a stand or extra jigs. Just working on the bench top. Cutting 40’ of 1x2 into 16” sections. Any ideas?

    4 run, 2 don't
Clamp the saw down and clamp a block as a stop on the table

That or just use the first piece you cut out, lay it on top of the next section, and proceed with cutting the second piece out and so on

I did just that earlier when I cut out a bunch of 1" sections of metal tube

    Quick and easy

harbor freight is a having a pretty large parking lot sale on a lot of stuff.

i re-stocked on drill bits and a few winches while the prices were lower than Amazon.

That's one of the reasons I had to ditch my Hansens. That and being stabbed in the wrist.
