Today we did a little trip and ran some of the Vegas to Reno race course. But we started from the end of the course and did a quick loop.

During the summer I'll be piecing together the next big step of this build.

Cab cage, 40s, and hopefully some carbon fiber...

Until then I'll be enjoying this truck

I've added about 4k miles on the truck since March.
A lot of those being dirt miles.

Last night I blew up my rear diff

Not sure what the next step is but it's crazy how it only lasted 50k miles.

    Small update.

I have all my interior parts

    Picking up 40s this weekend.

Picked up a rear axle out of 08 Tacoma. $125 and no issues. I know it won't hold up to 40s but it'll let me enjoy my truck while I decide if I want to drop 10k on a fabbed axle.

Currently just need spare wheels, jd fab pivot kit, and a rear disc conversion.

I'm doing a custom paint job on my wheels too, excited for that.

You'll be thankful too when you flat two tires at once. Been there with a single spare before. Hated feeling that helpless.

Pulled the rear axle, front suspension, and some other small things off the truck to get it prepped for new shit.

Pulled the old blown up 3rd member out. I bent the ring gear, took teeth off, and the pinion is basically smooth. When that happened I guess the bearings blew and started rubbing on the housing. We had to hang it from an engine hoist and bang the housing off with a sledge.

Getting the new axle re geared to 5.29. I will start prepping the new axle for a disc brake kit. The front lower pivots will be soon cut off to make room for the jd pivot kit. The dash and headliner still need to be pulled for the cage.

If anyone needs any stock interior parts lmk haha

Engine cage is pretty much almost tacked in all the way.

Pulled the dash so I can bring the engine cage through the firewall.
