Brake rotor threaded screw size

Simple question. Does anyone know the size of the threaded screw needed
to dislodge brake rotor from hub.

Old thread, but if it helps anyone, if you have the TRD off road package with the skid plate, you can use the two bolts that hold it up and use it to take off the rotor. That’s what I did and saved me a trip to the auto parts store.

Yes I found this out accidentally I bought new bolts for the skid plate but only needed three and I have one still sitting around in my bin of tacoma stuff. When I just did my brake job I realized it's the same bolt to take the rotors off

 

And 3 years after the last post, it saves MY butt! Thanks necro-post!

 

Does anyone know if the M8 bolt will also work for removing the front rotors on 2016 Tacoma?

 

It worked on my 2017. If you still have a hard time (I stripped out two bolts doing this), you can pull the caliper off, insert a slightly smaller bolt into the bottom hole that held the caliper on with a nut on the inside, then turn the bolt until it pushes the rotor off. You might have to back it out and rotate the rotor a few times, but that's what FINALLY worked on getting my stuck rotor off!
