Remember when being a 20 year old guy meant owning a jacked up Camaro with massive rear wheels, a soundsystem louder than a full stack of Marshalls, having a mullet and being a member of a dart or pool league?

One of the best feelings working on a vehicle is dropping a bolt down into the engine bay, hearing it pinball off everything and hit the ground/gravel with a satisfying *thud*

There was a bar in my home town known for pool. They had one table. It was called Rawson Ball Room. The cops were there CONSTANTLY in the 80s breaking up fights. I'm guessing over pool matches lol

    I'll go a step further @jwctaco

Bowling alleys, with POOL HALLS AND ARCADES! We had one in my home town that had a small arcade area as well. Pretty sure they had pool in this place too.

I had a 78 with the 345 and it didn't get 20 mpg LOL. It was an automatic and top speed was over 95 but I don't how much over LOL. I also had a 69 with the 304 with dual 10 gallon tanks. It was an automatic, I think it got about 10 mpg LOL. Neither one of them were Very Fuel Friendly but they were Probably the Best off road vehicle I ever owned.

    Original with factory replacement parts.
Somewhere around 79 or 80 an uncle came over to mom and dads to show off his new car.
Maybe a Caprice or similiar...I just remember the hood covered an acre. So we go out to see it and it is very pretty...really nice and spacious inside. Dad wants to see the motor, so uncle pops the hood...raises it up and my dad pops off with, "Where's the dog-gone motor?" We could hear it running, but we couldn't see it.
I kid you not, that engine bay was filled up level with black hoses of all various sizes....and most were pulsating and moving like some sea monster. You could literally toss a dime in there and it would never fall thru. I mean, the air conditioning didn't help but geez, zow, at no place could you see the driveway. You had to move hoses to check the oil. And I have no idea how the fan pulled air thru the rad, because there was no where for it to go, once it got past the fan.
If there was a foot of hose, there was a mile.
To sum up...therr was a couple of hoses...
