Some of you have seen these photos before but that’s all I have on the iPad. I’ve entered 3 judged car shows and have 3 trophies. Not bad at all.

I need to replace my front door something bad. However it's the original solid wooden door and you don't get that quality anymore. I had to re-do the brick molding and the corners of the old wooden stoop are definitely rotted. I may or may no have sprayed some spray foam in there and caulked the Hell out of the bottom of the molding with some Dynaflex 230 :anonymous:

Yesterday I was supporting prop loading Space Force's top secret payload on ULA's brand new Vulcan rocket, this morning I was supporting the Crew 11 launch to the ISS. Nice way to end the week.

I didn't realize you had a triple carb setup.

    What kind?
    Synchronized or progressive linkage?

Okay - I put a 5 speed in it. LOL.

All kidding aside, the engine was built by an engine builder that is sought after by local midget car racers and he has lots of experience building 6 cylinder Ford race engines. He decked the block, balanced the rotating assembly, increased compression, polished the ports at the valves, etc… Really woke up the engine. Nice lopey idle and it can rev a bit. Engine is mated to a T5 5speed out of a Mustang GT. It matches the output of the engine nicely. Much better than the three on the tree that it had.

All the metal work - new quarters, sections on the front fenders, floors, etc were done by me. I sprayed the primer and blocked it followed by sealer. The paint was done in my garage, that I made a paint booth out of. I found a painter that used to own a body shop who worked at Sikorsky painting helicopters (got caught for insurance fraud and was forced out of business). He laid down the paint and clear. I color sanded and he polished it. I did the top. That’s the story.

Offenhauser intake. Progressive linkage. I tried synchronous and didn’t like it. Running an AEM O2 sensor for carb adjustments

Good Friday afternoon, friends. Hope you’ve all had an awesome week and have a wonderful rest of your day :hattip:

Thank you all for the birthday wishes as well :hattip::hattip:

14 of us went to western N.C. to do work on houses affected by Helene. There have been many bandaids put on houses there, some people aren’t even back in their house yet. They live in a camper beside it waiting on the next crew to do what they can, depending on experience.

One, I say “one” very loosely of the things that pulled my heart strings was when our 18 year old group leader asked if anyone could install a pressure tank. I said yes.

Her, a friend of mine from church and I went and looked at it. It was under a house with 3-4” of wet mud, still. I told the guy I could do it and he got so excited and said “I’ve been waiting so long for someone to do this”. I said let me go grab some tools and I’ll be back, we were in the church van.

He was 82 years old, had one eye, retired Army man. We had a good talk in the yard afterwards. He was like a kid with a new Xbox at Christmas because someone put a water tank in for him.

It’s a temporary band aid for him, his supply water line feeding his pump was a 5/8” garden hose, another bandaid someone before me did. I would have loved to have replaced the line but we had a list of things we were trying to get done and had limited time as we were the last team with this organization for the summer.

Our entire team was full of different talents and we did what we could, we worked hard for 4 days and we’re all beat down but humbled by what we saw.

It’s gonna be a long time before I “think” I had a bad day.

First run of the repowered shredder, with a 6.5 hp engine replacing the original 5 hp it is very smooth and doesn't bog at all.

I changed the oil, it looked pretty nasty for one hours use, shown here in a clean white dish pan.

Thanks for sharing Creed, nothing makes you appreciate what you do have like seeing a bunch of people like that and what they don't have. God Bless you and your group for going up there so selflessly and shining a light on an otherwise dark situation.

    Reserected from the dead.

Helane was the reason we did not vacation in the Carolinas last winter. So many peeps were dislocated from their homes and needed to stay at various campgrounds in the area.

We could not make ourselves head south to take up a site that could be needed by someone that lost their home. We already have a home, it just seemed wrong to block out a site from someone that lost their home entirely.

90 miles might seem like not that far, but if your home is washed away, a place to rest your head isn't that far.

The things we take for granted and don’t realize it until we don’t have them. What an amazing story. Such a sad situation they are in.

    100% agree!! :fistbump:
