Rode a 1290 Super Duke today, that was nuts. I now know what 180hp feels like and the shorter gearing makes it a rocket to ride.

I also now know I hate naked bikes, my WR is windy on the highway but cant go fast enough to see the rough wind. Holy crap is 100mph awful without fairings or windscreens.

 

You just gotta commit

I remember my dealership tried to pull something similar on me when i traded in my WRX for the taco.

Showed up, gave them the WRX, signed all paperwork, and they told me all was good and congratulated me on the new purchase. A week later, they called and told me they were having trouble finding a lender who would give me a loan, and I would need to bring the truck back.

I wasn't very happy with that, basically told them I would not accept the WRX back as IDK where it's been/how it's been driven since I gave it up, and I would not be relinquishing the truck unless they gave me an offer I absolutely couldn't refuse.

They had an auto loan through Capital One for me by the end of the day lol.

 

Oh i have ridden sport bikes, (600's and 1L) and still n+1 (maybe not under WOT but definitely cruising around).

 

I wonder why they'd let it leave without having finances......that just baffles me.

 

Couldn't tell ya. I did go in and handle the transaction pretty late in the day, maybe it was too late to submit the application, and they thought the deal was a lock anyways?

I was pretty annoyed when they called me about it because I thought for sure I was about to be out both vehicles and just a very small monetary sum for my trade in. And this was after I'd spent about 2-3 months looking for the right vehicle lol.

Maybe they realized after they sold it that it was actually a T|X Baja, and not a TRD Offroad like they'd had it listed? idk tho

Sixth on my S1000XR was lugging the engine under 70mph, zero need for seventh unless you wanted to cruise at 150+ I guess?. Having another gear on my grom would be useless, too, it can't even run out fifth all the way.

I rode a buddies r6 once and I wasn’t sure why it had so many gears. There’s at least 3 extra

Was leaving work just last week and saw a guy in that position on his mortorcycle. Rode right past with his legs straight out the back. Looked like a complete idiot to me, haha.

 

hmm a dealer near me got one of those 390 smc r recently... to go check it out and add a super moto or to not hmm.
