Like an idiot, I ordered a $10.00 new cruise control stalk from Amazon and it doesn’t work….
    I should have known better….
Now my worry is, is it a bad part, or is there a chance my 2014 Tacoma just can’t have cruise control even though it’s wired for it in the clock spring and there is a “cruise” indicator on the cluster that can light up if it had cruise installed….
I’m thinking bad part more than the fact that a 2014 Taco isn’t wired for cruise….
    Thoughts ?

I think it takes more than a stalk to activate cruise control, even in pre wired vehicles

Some searching in this forum may get you the info you need: Im sure I've read of it being done

And someone may drop in soon with personal experience. I only had to add intermittent wipers as cruise was there for me

A regular cab may not be prewired. A Rosta kit could be in order, as found in one of your other threads on the topic

My 2012 regular cab was not wired. I had to get a cruise spiral cable and stalk and wire it from the ECM.

    Thanks guys….
If it needs all that, I’ll probably just not do it…. My hands shake too bad….
Is it pre-wired for intermittent wipers?
Because it only came with low, high and mist….

I did some searching and called a Toyota Tech in Ohio that I know and he said some were and some were not…. He said there’s no rhyme or reason why some were and some were not. Then he told me about a brown and green wire I can check because it won’t even tell you with the VIN number. So I did a search about that and here is what I got…. It’s crazy that they can’t tell with the VIN…. Anyway, here is the pictures of what else it says about those wires.IMG_1701.jpg IMG_1704.jpg
