    I'm mid-install on my Eco-Crawler in a MT 2nd gen, and have a question for @ZColorado and @Supr4Lo.....

It looks like both of you have used a J-shift lever from a MT FJ Cruiser to shift the EC, right? I have a lever from a 2003 Tacoma, but it bends to the left instead of the right so it interferes with the transmission shifter. Can either of you confirm that the FJC lever is what I'm after?!?

The Toyota part number should be 36360-35580 but most of the online dealers want ~270 for one, so I'm thinking about searching junk yards.

TIA for confirmation, and any tips you might have on locating one!

I did use an FJ shifter but I cut it and welded back together to get the knob right where I wanted. Not actualy sure if it'll work as is because I didn't even try it.....

If you have the means you could use the shifter you have. Just cut it and bend some rod and weld it all back together.

The part number you have is correct for the FJ shift lever.

I didn't realize you modified it.... but your results look great! Cutting and welding had occurred to me, but just getting an FJ shift lever does sound easier. :sawzall:&:welder: vs $$$ I suppose. Thanks for the suggestion, I will have a good look at it tonight!

I think I cut and welded mine? I honestly dont know which shift lever I used. I have an FJ case one and a J shift 4runner one (I think?)

You might be able to heat and bend too, but heat it fast so you don't burn the rubber isolator in the handle. It would probably need an oxy +acytelene setup?

Sounds like cut and weld it is then.... thanks to both of you for saving me the $$$ and disappointment of ordering one then having to modify it anyhow!

And Super White FTMFW by the way....

Getting the shifters dialed in is one of the most funnest parts of this mod. Its a test of engineering and patience.
