Get close to the stock weight, run it.

I'd bet the dealer does the same thing.

75w90 does completely fine and just about every major brand makes that particular weight….go to the part store/walmart and pick your favorite.

Of all the fluids in the truck, it’s going to care the least about what gear oil you put in the diff…and certainly isn’t going to care about 90 weight instead of 85.

That’s exactly what they do, they don’t go to the parts counter for most.

I buy the OEM stuff from dealers online. I found a few who always have the stuff on sale. I recently purchased all my OE fluids from Toyota of Colorado Springs.

Just search 08885-02906 for the Diff and 08885-01806 for Transfer

Thanks all got the redline 75w-85 for the diffs. Tcase running the OEM stuff. Redline 75w was GL-4 rated which I believe is incorrect. Going to just bite the bullet and get the OEM stuff for the T-case. Pricey but don’t have to do this often and get the peace of mind

I ran the Amsoil 75 85 in the front and rear diff … the transfer case did the redline 75w . If I recall it meets standard that is required for the t-case . No need for that Toyota gold
.The amsoil I picked up at my local ford dealer cheap and in stock … the redline I got at Napa was a kinda of hard to get had to wait a couple days to get shipped to store .

You don't give specs such as year and miles on your truck.
It's probably worth a lots so why not just spend the few extra and get oem at dealer.
