Are there any headlight housings for 2005-2011s that aren’t OEM style but still use H4 bulbs?

May I ask why you want to retain H4 bulbs?
Going to an aftermarket style will take a hit in lighting regardless.

Most non-OEM style lights are pseudo projectors. They tend to use H1 bulbs and have far inferior light output as the projector bowls tend to be molded plastic that’s part of the housing. The shape is just not precise enough for good lighting. They also tend to have a very sharp cutoff which hurts lighting to see road signs, etc… The best lighting is from an OEM housing and you can boost light output by doing the mod listed in this thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-ultimate-headlight-upgrade-h4-not-led-or-hid.398066/

I have the headlight upgrade in the pinned post on the 2nd gen sub and was just seeing if there were any different styles retaining the H4 bulb.

Oh I see, so you could keep the upgrade but have a better looking housing.
Sadly the upgrade really only works on the OEM housing. I think there is a TRD pro housing that has smoked chrome so it looks a bit better. Might only be 12-15 though.

Yeah exactly, was hoping there were some different styles but still having that extra output from the upgrade! All good tho, I’d rather be able to see lol

as cheap as cheap gets, horrible lighting. But I’m invincible until I’m 25 so it doesn't matter.

Had those exact ones for a few years and realized I couldn’t see shit at night! Figured I’d rather see then look cool so I went with the harness upgrade and OEM style, now I’m just curious if there’s any different styles out there but I’m okay sticking with OEM style for the sake of good light output.
