yeah my first time as well. I try not to deal with dealerships if I can avoid it lol.

interesting..what's the scam exactly? bring them back in and swap them out into a car with a higher profit margin?

ah gotcha, makes sense. when it happened to me, they weren't even trying to get me to sign new terms...they just wanted me to return the truck to them lol.

If they were trying to do that with me, it backfired well in my favor. The loan they ended up finding for me through Capital One ended up being 0.5% less interest rate the the in-house financing they had claimed they secured when I took the truck home lol.

They did make a 1290 SuperDuke GT, which was actually pretty cool. There's one for sale locally for like $5k. Seems a great price to me

3d printed a new housing for my sneaky garage door opener. I’m seriously debating starting to sell these. I think next revision i’m going to add in some slots along the edges so you can loop a zip tie or velcro strip around it to cinch it to a frame bar. Or there’s enough space for a strip of VHB or adhesive velcro. Button has velcro to go on the patch on my handlebar bag and vhb underneath that if I ever want to move it or take the gnat bar off

Nice! I was debating getting another remote for mine since I was sick of unlocking the truck to use that opener when coming back from a ride. Ended up with a wifi opener attachment that works almost as good, just need to take the phone out of pocket. Might be able to set it to a routine that GPS / wifi location auto opens the door too..

That’s pretty sweet. There’s always people looking for ways to hide them in trucks that don’t have homelink too

It’s pretty easy to do. I usually just use my phone or watch though so haven’t done that for my door but everything else I have automated.

*side eye* yall needing to get in your garage asap for some reason after a ride huh... HUH!??!?!?

I definitely, absolutely, never ever haven't scrambled into my garage after shenanigans on the wr450 to close the door with me inside (detached) and watched curious individuals of a particular variety on the lookout for something on the security cam's.... nope never.

But for real, I have a num pad on my current garage door. If I didnt id be using the MyQ to open the door via my phone (literally one of the only IoT devices I have) or install a physical keyed switch to open the door.

Did a little dirt riding today then took the boy to get dinner on one of the razors. Just let him sit in front of me on the bike and he really enjoyed it.

Didnt get enough ride time on the dirt but it was something
