Hi all, longtime lurker here but this is my first post and I'm hoping to get some help/advise on an issue I'm having with some Fuel wheel I bought for my 2022 Tacoma.

I purchased these Fuel wheels from Extreme Terrain, https://www.extremeterrain.com/fuel-wheels-tacoma-vector-matte-black-wheel-d57916808352.html.

I took the wheels to my tire shop to have them mounted and was told that they could not balance the front tires because the wheel weights would hit the brake caliper. The tire shop recommended that I get a 1/2 inch wheel spacer that bolts onto the hub because the existing lug bolts won't be long enough.

Can anyone recommend something that would work because I can't find anything online.

Sounds like they gave u a solution … don’t see any other way if the weights are hitting . Sounds like the wheel shop sold u the wrong fitment for your truck … only 2 options here use spacers or send the rims back to get the right ones for your truck .

A 16” wheel is not the issue. The shop just doesn’t want to do their job. Tell them to not double stack the weights. The first shop to balance my fuel wheels tried that and the calipers took the weights off. The second shop did it right when I made them aware

How much are they charging to mount and balance?

That explains why they aren't trying that hard.

I'm not saying its your fault for going there, I'm just saying at those prices don't expect anyone to care that much. Mounting and balancing big tires can quickly become tedious when things don't bead up or balance out on the first try

You'll get a "we tried", a shrug, and they'll hand you the keys back

A serious shop would be charging minimum of $200 in my opinion
