Locked in the parking lot and dude didn’t look at his phone for over an hour. He no shit walked out as soon as I hung up with the nonemergency line… Figured we’d be fine but a cop was out front assuming we were up to shenanigans within 90 seconds!

Feel like someone needs to call the fire marshal too, that seems like a huge safety issue

The emergency phone number on the gate had an outgoing message saying their hours were until 8pm…

They didn’t have the lines cut in the ground for the automatic gate?

The sign said the automatic gate stopped working at 10, guessing to stop someone from camping out in there and then letting in friends for crime that way? Sheriff lady said it happens quite a bit

Or to stop break ins. Its actually really easy to open most gates if they have the lines cut it. Just need a big enough piece of metal to cross over two lines

Auto gate at my storage place has access hours that end at 9pm, but I feel like if you're already inside by 9pm, the auto would open to let you out. Seems reasonable, but I've never tried. I'm sure the code box to get in stops working.

    Oof

    Apartment complex?

    Commercial building parking lot?

Weird to imagine you can get locked in unless it's private property in which your case, you should be carrying especially in your state!

My storage location has a sign outside (when entering) as well as the staff telling you they're leaving before closing time

This is because their alarm systems automatically arm after closing time, so if you're on the premises, you can't enter or leave

On top of that, if you open your own storage door (if on the premises after hours), an alarm is triggered

Random aside: I don't know how many of you like the franchise or genre in general, but Final Destination: Bloodlines is worth a go if you haven't yet. Time will be the ultimate judge, but its a good ride. And it was wonderful to see Tony Todd get the send-off he deserved.
