Yeah that's totally insane.

Different type of story but I remember a few years ago, a kid who was drunk stumbled back to his culdesac and because all of the houses were cookie cutter, he crawled through a window IIRC, I think he didn't have his key, and the homeowner shot him dead, not knowing if it was an armed intruder.

In that case, I believe the homeowner was not charged with anything.

The kid was one house away from the correct house.

 

In another thought, if it were me, I'd countersue and try to utilize trespassing laws. I'm sorry, how can we have laws on the books that possibly contradict one another?

If you're unlawfully on someone's property, how can I be liable for what happens to you?

My knuckles used to split and bleed on my paper route some years prior. I know the pain of an 80's kid.

 

And since its the "Remember When Thread". That image was captured with an analog 35mm camera I would drag around to skate spots. We'd be lucky to get one rad image out of a roll of film. And getting the film developed was expensive for a High School kid. The Golden Years indeed.

 

Oh yes, snot running off your face into your ear.....it was basically storming the beach at Normandy doing a paper route in winter on a bike lol

I went to catholic grade school K-4, going to public school in 5th, best thing I ever did. But we did learn a lot of good lessons in catholic grade school.

 

I wouldn’t change my up bringing in catholic school for anything. I even went to a catholic college

 

Those all turned in to drive through coffee places here. My wife was pissed cuz she had the idea when we were attending a local JC. It just popped in her head one day and, of course, we were poor teenagers with no capital or credit. A year later...Caffieno was a household name and Foto Drive Ups went the way of the analog camera.

 

For sure. We will always hear about the catholic priest child abuse crap, but look now at public school teachers, they are doing INSANE things to kids.

Every demographic has bad apples.

 

Ironically one of the priest I grew up with is in prison now. I never had a problem with him
