It’s a computer server chassis, basically an empty version of one of these: https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/chassis/2u/826/SC826BE1C-R920LPB

Roughly 3.5” x 17.5” x 25.5” and weighs maybe 20ish? lbs (the chassis I linked above has all the hardware, the chassis I am looking to pickup is mostly empty). I wouldn’t strap it to a motorcycle (and I’ve actually tried) but it would be happy enough in the back seat under some softer gear/luggage.

 

Ironically I left to Denver the day before lol

 

It took me 275K miles but I finally broke a rear shaft.

I did. Made home from the springs. This will be the second time I had to do this. Last time I broke a rear axle in Moab and had to FWD home all the way from there. Front diff was not happy.

 

Great way to break in those new front bearings.

It makes sense on paper. Many decades ago we established and enforced food labeling and if it doesn't list an ingredient (or more), than it's not in compliance.*

Sure, we can laugh that "of course butter has milk dum-dum", but this is following a flow-chart of rules - something like "if missing ingredient. level 1 recall. If it's missing a main ingredient from one of these lists, level II recall"
