    Ahhhh. Ahhhhhhhhh. The 1967 Lotus 49. In my humble opinion the best looking F1 car ever made. It introduced the Ford Cosworth DFV into F1, as a stressed chassis member no less. That motor was in virtually every car on the grid within a few years.

    Ahhh. Ahhhhhhhh. The Lotus 25. First car to use monocoque construction for the chassis, i.e. the body panels themselves are the chassis.

    Colin Chapman was a genius.

    I have never seen, nor probably will, a roadster version....

    But i'll share my exposure to TWO 2000GT in the same spot in San Diego, Kearney Mesa area, near Mitsuwa (that's close enough for non-disclosure).
    I saw them from the street by the distinct headlights of the White one.
    I asked if I could take a look at it and he said yes but please don't disclose this location.
    Then he lifted off the cover of another car and it was a Red one.
    I don't remember exactly which one was which but there was LHD and RHD.

    It's rare enough to see one.
    It's another thing to see two in the same spot.
