I have a white 2010 tacoma 4x4 that comes with black fender flares and black bumpers. The grill is grey and I am looking to change the grey out for either white or black plastic to match the bumper.

    Has anyone done this? Pics?

I am thinking white with a grillcraft grille insert. I was also thinking black but i was afraid the regular black will have a glossy look and would look funny with the bumper. If i were to do black i would want to find a plastic one that matches the bumpers flat black look.

thats what im worried about. from the pic of the grille it doesnt look real glossy but they said i could return it if i didnt like it. i hope it looks ok i would like to put a black grille on it but i know the white would look good as well. post some pics of what you end up doing. i havent found many pics on here of the white tacomas with the black fenders and bumpers. i would like to see what others have done who have the same trim as us.

for sure. I am pretty sure i am going to go with the white and throw some fog lights in. The next step after is the three inch lift and some black wheels

you could always paint it yourself. There are a few places now you can get high grade factory matched spray paint. If you mess it up or don't like the result screw it you were gonna buy another one anyway right.

I like the idea, and from what i understand toyota's super white is very easy to find since they have used the same white since the 05's

it is a procomp lift and the dealership actually did it. They put the lift, wheels and tires on it when they got it. Thats what sold me on the truck. It looked sharp and still has all the warranty with it. Im not sure on the best lifts for the tacomas.

Just sand it good, take your time taping everything off and you would be surprised what you can do with a rattle can. I have heard that this company makes really good products. Haven't ordered from them personally but I plan on color matching my grill for my truck soon. If you do let me know how it turns out.

So i am not familiar with painting my truck. I will obviously need the basecoat spray can but will i also need the high gloss clear coat? is there any other coat i need?

No you shouldn't need more than a base + clear. If it where me I would do a couple base coats, a couple clear coats, and then maybe a little wet sand with some 1500 or 2000 grit sandpaper. you can just buy the clear from the same place you buy the paint. Its really not as hard as it sounds you can probably find a 100 detailed instructional videos or on youtube or there's a good painting tut on here somewhere.
