Congratulations to your son on his new Tacoma Tom. They have made a lot of changes since my 2007 and even my 2021.

Are you still looking for a new one for you?

    Have a good one.

    Morning all:

Congrats on your son getting a new Tacoma Tom!

Is that a sea otter Radd, I think they're neat, but fishermen don't seem to like them.

I have almost every PITB critter imaginable, except for moles, seems like quite a few on here have been blessed with them.
Kitties also keep my mouse, vole, and chipmunk population under control, cute as they are, those chipmunks are destructive little critters

The problem is how to get these nasty critters to enter the trap, they are too damn tricky.

Oh I have no issue with that, they go for the peanut butter that's in the back and it's over.

I did have to put a dowel in the back of the trap, to prevent them from lifting the back hatch. Bastards tried to steal the bait.

I'm not sure where they are hiding, I think they are in the back of our yard now by the pond and crick. They have not been digging in my Cypress tree lately so I have not set the trap.

Once the oak trees start dropping acorns, it'll be back to trapping.

The worst part is removing their dead body from the trap, I put on leather gloves and open the trap and they drop out.

My stepdad used to use a non lethal trap and then go take them down to the rail tracks. It's like, what good is that? They comin back! lol

I was watching a YouTube video and a guy recommended corn meal and baking soda mixed together and set out for them to eat. Apparently the baking soda explodes in their stomachs and kills them.

We have people around us that feed feral cats. Cat fights outside the window at night, spraying, cat sh*t in the garden or anywhere there is dirt. And kittens showing up on the porch, desperate for food because their momma disappeared. Ribs trying to poke through, crusty eyes, and stumbling. I hate that people in urban areas keep outside cats and ferals are worse.
I trap them and have taken them to the county shelter, but the guy there begged me to do something else with them. He's worked there 18 years and is sick of euthanizing every cat that comes in. The shelter gets 145 cats every quarter and they put them all down.
So I've been taking the cats up in the mountains. There are ground squirrels for them to prey on and a stream for water... and if they can stay away from the coyotes and bobcats they have a chance. Of course they are prey as much as predator so I know they don't last long. But it might be better than the shelter.
    Please spay your cats...

I hate that shit too. We have 2 cats that we rescued and love them to death. They are strictly indoor pets and fixed. I think sometimes it's some of those humans that need fixed, they should know better and yet do nothing.

    The list is growing.
We have an outdoors cat. Or at least had one. Haven’t seen him lately.

A little change of pace ...
I was Backpacking in the Grand Canyon in March-04-1989.
2nd night out at the Monument Creek Campground in Monument creek we stopped for the night and set up.
Went over to where the trail crosses the creek bed to the east side of the canyon and took the following pic.
Somebody put a plastic human femur in the crotch of the post and metal sign post. See bottom of pic.
    Real funny, Buddy

    Love that hahahhaha

Took dog to toxic waste dump station with a bunch of old paint and oils and cleaners and junk. Good to be rid of the stuff!!

Then we dropped off an old desk top and printer and UPS from my old business. Shop is really shaping up!!

I used to be a technical writer in a previous life. On forums yeah fingers all over the place and no proofreading. I will probably not correct my ways!
