In my opinion sxs are dope. The owners are shitty. Those new can am maverick r's with the sequential are so badass.

Oh! We were out at Hot Springs Offroad Park a couple weeks ago; one of our friends brought his SxS instead of his buggy.

Had a nasty rollover on their "horsepower hill" climb. He was basically fine but only because he had a heavier duty cage; the factory cage would have collapsed. I think he said the aftermarket cage was close to $2k but that was the difference between life and... probably not life.

Yeah man we see a ton of gnarly wrecks from them, and they're usually (somewhat by nature of trails/riding) far from civilization. Not a big fan, although they do look cool and its hard to argue with 15"+ of factory travel!

SXS cages typically seem to do the job once, but they are pretty much just a single use item.

Yeah, I should have added that to my post.

The (aftermarket) cage itself isn't too bad - couple large dings and a concerning bend - but the SxS is toast. LCA is bent, along with it's mounting point, trailing arm mounts are bent, chassis is twisted pretty significantly, etc.

I've been in the boating world recreationally and professionally for longer than I've been in the off road world. I can very confidently say that SXSs are the jet skis of the off road world....

Very few boat owners would be caught owning a jetski. most boaters don't care for the manner in which jetskis are typically operated. However, Jet skis are by far the most economical way to hit 70+ mph on the water, and if you give the keys to boat owner, they will absolutely grip it and rip it with an ear-to-ear grin.

I enjoy watching first time SxS drivers and jet skiiers alike too because there is a minimum level of knowledge to not do insanely dangerous stupid shit and neither group ever has any. First time jet ski operators are the best though, hilarious watching people try to steer without throttle input.

Currently on day #2 at the Rubicon, JD SUA working great, as well as the front.

A CyberTruck is slowly making it's way through.. has broken a number of front TieRods and only has one left. Tried giving one of my spares but the inner threaded portion don't match.

Trying to remember exactly where that is. Slabs east of Spider Lake? Also, is it just me, or do those tires look fully inflated?

I have to say that that shell makes it look even more like a 1993 Ford Aerostar.

I just need to ask… is that a real cyber truck?
I mean the only not cyber truck I know of is the MWDF truck on the east coast but still?
I guess my main confusion is the battery life while doing that

You do mean the first roll as “once” right? Because they barely do that at anything over 10mph.

Pretty much where that was at. We camped overnight right there because one of the Sazuki Samuaries blew up a Lincoln Locker. We tore it a part during the night and got it prepped and welded it together this morning. We also changed out spark plugs and vacuum lines, pretty much a tune up on the trail. Also met @Ricardo13x at the trail head yesterday morning.

Here's another pic of the Cyber Truck completly Turtled. There's was a Jeep dragging it through everything..
