I used to hate TB12, but I admit it was jealousy (just like I hated Elway). 50 years of franchise futility can do that. But now that my team is in its prime my view is a little different. When the Pats beat us in OT for the 2018 AFC title Tom sought out Patrick after the game by going to the Chiefs locker room to encourage him. Classy. Patrick will never have 7 rings, but I don’t think he’s earned his last. If he stays the course he will be 2nd in every meaningful postseason QB statistic.

 

I don’t see PM getting 7 rings either. But the way the refs officiate Chiefs games is straight up criminal.

I think the Patriots scandals should not be overlooked. Look how pedestrian Belichick was without Brady.

It really makes you wonder.

I’m prepared for another year of every non-Chiefs fans saying the refs hand them wins. It’s garbage smack talk, but hey, that’s part of what this thread is all about. Very rare re the 1 helmet, I really think TFB wanted the same but wasn't trying to get annihilated either. Though I can't blame him for wanting to get paid one time either.

Ironically, I've said often I can now truly see why people hated ushaha..and I could see PM making a run at both the rings and the other numbers presuming health stays good. Not sure about hitting them but part of that is how many non kickers play till age 45?

Belichick was sort of exposed post TB and we all know that. Just like Tomlin without Ben. And even with Ben Tomlin was exposed. Guy went 3-10 vs Belichick and Brady. How do you not get to a Super Bowl with Ben, Bell and AB?

Fans of the Patriots will deny the cheating scandals completely, but the fact is, they were caught multiple times and Belichick fined I think the largest fine in NFL history of $500,000.

And if it was a big nothing, Goodell wouldn't have destroyed those spygate tapes so quickly.

If Belichick "always wanted to coach college" he could have done it at any time.

The only reason Bill took this job was it was the only one he could get.

I'm sure most NFL teams were not impressed with Bill after Brady left. Look at the results. Nobody was going to hire a fired Belichick - they can say it was mutual but Kraft canned him.

The Spygate one I can see, what else? And not Deflategate either..if nothing else, the league crucified the team and TFB for that one being that other teams/players either did it in plain sight or admitted it and not even a slap on the wrist.

We made the playoffs last year. Had the #1 defense. I'm hopeful for this next season. So pumped to watch some football!

 

The Chargers scare me a little.They have underperformed for their talent level for a LONG time. Having a successful coach may be all they need to move up a tier. They aren’t good enough to go to the SB yet (IMHO) but they are trending upward. Denver is a different situation but also trending upward. Chiefs will have their hands full trying to win a 10th straight West division. It must be tough being a Raiders fan right now.
