The color coding the words of importance is what got me.

I'm really trying hard to not let this job make me cynical.

The guy that made these bumped into a lead slot that I thought I wanted last year. Dude's 62 so I get it. It's a two dollar an hour bump. But here we are a year later, this guy isn't getting his requirements done at the end of the month and signs like these are multiplying all over the shop. Time management skills D-....

Customer just came in, he always wants it now. He brought one part by to add to the other 6 he brought 2 weeks ago. We wait until he has about 10 to do them to make it worth our while. It's a simple job.

He said to me "I dropped one part off, I had an order for 11 last week but the customer canceled the order cause they couldn't wait".

I said whatever. He knows I was gone last week

 

I got up about 2 this morning and went to lay on the couch. About 30 minutes later something woke me up, our daughter sat down on my feet. I said go to bed! She got up and walked in circles and came back. I grabbed her by the arm and shook her and said "GO TO BED".

She was sleep walking

the NTSB report hasn't been released yet.
one the few saving graces in this case is that the company owner died in his own creation. had he survived, this would have been dragged even further out in criminal prosecution.

i had watched some of the preliminary reports, and there's really nothing 'new' in this report. just more in-depth, and more official. nothing about the entire build was done appropriately, despite plenty of documented precedent on materials and functionality. every corner was cut for cost reasons, and anyone that stood in the way was cut as well.

it's really a miracle they made it as far as they did. the sub should've been retired after the 'loud bang' incident in 2022, where something shifted in the structure.
