K through 12. Wanted to go to the college my dad went to which was Catholic, but couldn't afford to. 8 yrs as an altar boy also.

High school was all boys. Didn't mind because it was more laid back mostly, plus I didn't want to go to school where I lived..too many rich snotbags.

    Yeah.
Arkansas seems to be pretty lax on things like this. Most people have that same attitude. They would first ask, "What were they doing on someone else's property without permission?" and not "Why didn't you have a fence around it to keep people out?" Lots of hunters and outdoorsmen here, so lots of guns, which tends to keep people on their side of the fence.

We had a pool put in, and I inquired about fence requirements and there were none. Also, our homeowners insurance company said it doesn't affect our rates or anything, nothing to do there. I do have a fence, and we do have locks that we put on the gates if we are going to be away.

Also, no vehicle inspections. I guess they figure if you are brave enough to drive it, it should be fine.

    Yeah.
Square one in the ignition, rounded one in the doors. Four of my parents 5 kids learned to drive and took their tests in a '76 Chevy Malibu station wagon. Which also became a paper delivery vehicle -- my one route that I did on my bike grew to 4 or 5. My older brother would drive and I'd sit on the back and toss papers. We got pretty good and could go pretty fast -- it became a game to see if we could beat our previous time. Since I was facing backwards, I couldn't see if some jackass was standing out there at 5:00 AM waiting for their paper. There were some near misses and at least one direct hit.

    Never did or had to.

I did buy one of those unlock slim jims from the auto parts store to have handy for unlocking myself if I left my keys in the car.

This was actually one of the minor reasons that my folks bought their first Volvo, because my dad, especially, HATED having to deal with more keys than necessary.

With a mirror, I can still see the scar on my ass from when I got bit by a neighborhood dog while I was cutting through back yards on the way home from school. It was probably around 1974. I planned to hide it from my parents, but I got nervous around bed time when it hadn’t stopped bleeding. I got interrogated until I gave up the location so they could test it for rabies. Then they made me apologize in person for being in their yard without permission.

I literally have $1,000 worth of anti theft devices on my Hellcat. Faraday pouches, Neutral lock out covers with security hardware, secret hidden ignition cut outs, (2) battery cut outs, RFID tags... Not counting the factory Lo-Jack or whatever the hell they charged me for and $500 Lug Nuts.
We barely drive the car because of incidents with our last one. (Valets at a hotel were part of a car theft ring...true story...wild evening...)

And to stay on topic, remember stealing your older sibling's car? :D

It was in downtown Walnut Creek dude! Like the center of Nouveau Riche tech scum mecca. It was crazy. Uniform cops and hotel manager gave zero F's. The Sgt. investigating the car thief ring sure did though.

This! We used to play Hide and Go Seek on a biblical scale. Running across rooftops, climbing people's trees, "tight roping" fences across people's yards. We were always up in people's spaces. Very surprised we didn't get into more trouble for it. I guess cuz all the neighbors knew all the kids in the neighborhood. I'm sure that helped. We were feral for sure...
