Yeah they suck, don't buy em. There's a reason they're always cheap. They're hard to tune to a baseline anyone actually likes too because the pistons are dished to put the shims in tension and create the digressive feel.

After 30 seconds of googling since reading this, no I am not into that, improving washboard is about 90% of my desire for better shocks

Yeah, they're just not worth it. Probably some of the best on-road coilovers but overall not great for actual dirt activity.

Keep an eye out on MP and BST here. I got mine used for ~$1400 and had ADS rebuild them for ~$350. It was only that expensive because both needed shafts, which I think were $70/ea. They took stock of my truck and did custom valving for free during the rebuild.

If I had to do it again I’d use @Speedytech7 though!

I appreciate the vote of confidence haha, I've rebuilt a few ADS now, that part is cake. Their valving style is similar to King cause they're all former King engineers. But I think having them do your valving and change all those parts for $350 is a hell of a deal and you're local to em.

Right, not having to ship them really sealed the deal. That was before they got bought by Holly, so who knows what that did to their price and customer service… Their new shop is really nice though!

I visited their old shop once when they were still in the Quonset hut looking places. I hope a lot of the original team is still there, watching them assemble everything was neat. They aren't flashy like FOX and to a lesser extent King, but everything being hand checked and assembled plus only selling one line (everything is a real racing shock) really sealed the deal for me in terms of who's top dog.

This is the second one I seen this summer. The 1st one was green.

Thought I'd try Vyper's bracing between the legs since I don't own a tube roller

We'll see how it works once casters come in

They kept those buildings to do their machining in. It’s close to one of my favorite dive bars too!

Ooh, that’s slick! Can’t wait to see it!

If I didn’t already buy a whole ass tube roller I might have asked for a retrofit kit :anonymous:

It'd really benefit me to learn modeling with components, as I could easily take the parts I designed and assemble them together.

However, I haven't made it a priority to learn, not to mention I'd want to find a credible source for learning the proper steps.

Still, my own measurements got me right on point first try.

Assuming one used my template correctly for welding the legs to the center support.

Shoot that's right, your circular parts.

I bought some 3/16" just this last Monday so I can get those plates cut out soon.

Just waiting for casters to arrive so I can test these leg braces.

Its easy, especially with most the stuff you do, its just adding thickness to your existing drawings.
Assembling them together is just defining what touches what, or if something is x distance from y piece. You'd be going in 30 minutes tops

Given how unobstructive it is, ignoring everything it's derived from, you're right lol

It's probably as easy as a drag and drop as you've seen it live when I modeled up that 3D item for @Gen1FTMFW
