Hang on to it for when your kid graduates high school!! Kid ends up with a fun bike for a couple years and a quick sale for a down payment on something more. It'll make you a way cooler dad and hold value way better than having cash or college funds saved up for the kid

Transalp is def the closer comparison to a T7 in my eyes. I love my Africa Twin, but its a big bitch with bags and accoutrements, so the idea of hard ADV riding on it is somewhat daunting as a 30" inseam rider, even on a low seat. I've actually thought about dropping down to a transalp for weight/size reasons, but since Honda uses less sporty motors compared to say KTM, it is nice to have the power and reliability/dealer network. That said, I rode along with a KTM 1100 for a little while last week, and when he decided to split, he dropped me like I wasn't even there.

Esp the sidecar guy with no control over his destiny. At least the rider gets to throttle and steer!

Power wise, absolutely. I'm just saying they're drastically different when it actually comes to adventuring. T7 all the way over the transalp. When I was saying CB was better, mainly based on reviews I've watched offroad comparing it with the transalp, where the reviewers liked the lighter feel of the CB, even though it was lacking the HP. The transalp should just have more features than it does, too (at the price point). Should have cruise, better suspension, etc. The only thing it's really got going for it is the extra power (which apparently it has more of/better curve in europe). I thought it'd be an awesome option, but it just seems not great in comparison to others.

Wonder how many have scrubbed their head on a wall? I'll give it to them. Their spatial awareness is insane.

I actually had to go to Clearwater's website and investigate a little. They are not DOT approved which i really didn't consider. They do use a dimmer and for normal use I leave that on the lowest setting and rarely have other vehicles flash their high beams at me. They are configured to go to full power when I flip my high beams on. While not DOT They do have a reasonable cut off to them. We aimed mine at my work using one of our truck bay doors with all the inside building lights turned off after hours.

Former coworker bought one as his retirement gift to himself in 2023. Kind of a neat machine but not enough power to run interstates for any length of time. Okay for when you're retired and don't care who you're holding up as they're trying to get somewhere.

When I look at bikes such as this, It makes my appreciation of the 1999 VFR800fi grow stronger.

101 hp is enough, and that sound........;-)

Gear driven cams yo, and any v4 sounds awesome, with the low end grunt of a twin with the HP of an inline 4, at least most do. 101 is plenty. My hyper has like 80-90 and will put a permanent smile on your face
