I've probably seen Primus two dozen times. My wife has never seen them. (She likes hair metal...I know...) Its amazing living around here and being on the ground floor of so many cool things. Apparently, Lars Ulric from Metallica, stepped on my wife's foot at the Cactus Club in San Jose before Metallica were a thing.
I met MC Hammer once at the dry cleaners. He lives in our town.
Its amazing how small the world is sometimes...
And it is a tragedy how cruelly short life can be for people that deserve a long life while pieces of shit live to be old and grey.

Do you remember when people would dress presentable when going to the store or out in public?
Now I see more ass cheeks at the grocery store than a strip joint, or people in their pajamas.
When i was in Belgium last year NO ONE dressed like crap. that was the first thing I noticed. I leave for Belgium this Sunday for 3 weeks for work, I can't wait to go back!!

That's a good point you make and so true.

People drive like shit, they dress like shit, they don't care about their appearance, their attitude or their fellow man.

All they care about is that idiot box in their hand called a cell phone.

This was on my boat I sold about two years ago. I forget what year the motor was. It was old but ran like champ!

When I was a kid in the 60's I would listen to my transistor AM radio at night when I was supposed to be "sleeping". I was in the upper Midwest and I was fascinated by stations I could only find at night in far-flung places like Texas. Apparently, the reflection characteristics of the ionosphere are better at night for AM.

I have a C Crane SW Pocket. I love it. But the guys I listened to on terrestrial are no longer on terrestrial. It sucks. I have my grandfathers transistor radio at home. AM Radio is amazing. The sound, the organic sound.

I love it. I listen to the Art Bell online archive all the time.

I think the last time I listened to terrestrial was probably before I joined the Navy in 2009.

Orick well that’s a blast from the past. Long ago I would stop at the Palm Cafe for a truckers size breakfast before hitting Vespa Lagoon for some incredible trout fishing. Now the Palm is shuttered due to serious health code violations. Sad because back in the day their pies were some of the best around. Grew up in Eureka, Arcata, McKinnleyville, and Crescent City until I went off to college.

Ah cool. I need to get back there.

I had a great experience in Eureka when I needed an oil change. Walked into a lube shop and was worried about being from out of town, guy was amazing. Even vacced out my floor mats in the front.

I'm about the Golden Harvest Cafe.

I used to have a Circuit City across from a Best Buy as well. I felt like CC had better PC stuff. The CD selection was way better too.

I love these old outboards. There was nothing like getting up at dawn and going out on the lake in grandpa's old aluminum boat with the smoky Envirude. By the time you got to the fishing spot you were have buzzed from the fumes! LOL

Mine was 6.5 in 2004 when I bought, though I did 2 refi's to lower it. I've heard of the 1980s it was scraping double digits.

My wife has never seen most of the bands I love, metal isn't her thing. I did get her to see Alice Cooper/Rob Zombie, Black Sabbath, and Ozzy Osbourne..all but Rob were her era.

I was never a huge fan of the music, my sister loved Hammer growing up. Guy had a big heart and wanted to help people which is admirable.

Remember when the "idiot box" was the TV? Haha..

I've been accused of dressing like shit, but I'm a T shirt and jeans guy.

Especially incenses me that anyone does that driving, my wife spent almost a year recovering from an accident because of someone doing that. With respect, I always say I share the road with anything from unicycle to semi but we all follow the same rules.

My friend worked at a CC in MA from about 1994-5 till it closed. Said getting rid of major appliances was the turning point.
