What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

It's been a while since I gave the truck a good wash. Spent a couple hours yesterday getting in all the nooks and crannies. Back to looking decent.

 

if your back seat is only used by your dog, why don't you remove your head rests for better visibility out the back window?

 

I use window cleaner and newspaper it lasts longer than some paper towels

 

Where the f does anyone get newspaper nowadays? Just asking.

 

City newspapers. They use 50 pt font and only print Hollywood-access-type news, but they exist.

 

Again just asking. So people buy these rags for cleaning their glass and not necessarily for reading?

 

I do not know. I was joking a bit about 50 pt font, but there has been a trend to use larger print in many city papers, and less content. Washington Post, NewYork Times, Wall Street Journal still use micro-print and create an almost indigestably-dense wall of material (assuming you like their content ... not making political comment, just saying you may want different content).

 

Or just remove the back seat completely. The only thing the backseat would be useful for was a child in a booster seat, and at 63 there were no more of those in my future, removing mine was one of the first things I did.

 

Oof on that bolt. But I noticed the same thing. Adding them absolutely took some flex out of the rear end.

I don’t have a dog but took off the rear head rests the first week owning the truck.

 

My daughters 6'5" fiancé has sat in the back with leg room as long as the front seat is forward a few clicks, I am 5'10" and keep both front seats even and he had rather sit in the back, matter a fact with the hammock tight on both head rest, the seats have to move together... and yes he is built like a basketball player... lol

My grand kids also ride in the back also... When the dogs are in back, the seats are down with a padded moving blanket on top...

 

I dont have a dog either but i folded my head rests down so in case i carry a passenger.

I have 67040 Miles on my 2022 Tacoma Offroad, when should i change the Serphantine belt and how often after that should i do it?

 

I changed mine(2017 TRD OR) and the idler pulleys with a kit around 155000 klms.

 

About every 60k. Get the oem Bando belt.

Might be an old paper though. She went out for groceries about a year ago.

 

I got a cool dog platform for the back seats. The problem is that it loops onto the headrests. But it gives them much more room, the seatbelts are usable for harness tying, and I don't have to fold the seats down.

despite having the headrests in the way, I recommend these dog platforms.
