I just applied for a job at FedEx as a freight handler. They pay 21.11 an hour and work hours are 5am to 9am. Don’t need the money just need something to do. Seems like a good excuse to get up early, get a decent workout in and be home before 10am. Being retired is great but you run out of things to do pretty quick.
We will see if they want to hire an old guy. Lol

damn i did that years ago and it was 12 bucks an hour! 21 an hour would have been awesome at 18 haha.

i will say the people that work at fedex for the package and freight handler are some interesting people to say the least lol. my manager back then was arrested for drugs in the parking lot wild times!

That doesn't sound too bad for a retirement job. Wife and I plan to retire early / she'll keep her remote job and I'll be house husband. Something like that might be nice for some extra spending money for funsies.

We have the same luck, lol. If they forecast even a slight chance of a tiny misting rain that lasts 60 seconds, as soon as I get a few miles from home, the clouds unleash on me. And of course it happens on the weekends, the only time I get to ride.
    I can’t wait to retire.

    That's not helpful lmao.

ATM looking at getting some stuff for the klx to keep my self over until next year and get a bike maybe....

I'd love a set of super moto wheels but can't find anything with my axle size since it's an oddball size...

Oh, I get it! I HATE riding in the wet! Will take too hot or too cold over any precipitation!

I've had months go by where it seemed like it only rained on the weekends!

As a school counselor, I was "retired" during the Covid shutdown. It was GLORIOUS!!! Unfortunately, life circumstances changed over the last couple of years and my plans to retire on time with the help of my sugar momma (ex-wife) fell through. Gonna have to work a few more years than I planned but I like my job 89.4% of the time so it's manageable!

I am helping you spend your money.

Probably have to do new. Or you could do an axle spacers in there on a different set possibly but then youll still have to align rotor and calipers and sprockets possibly

Haha ya Tacoma world is good for that!

Sadly... A new set isn't out of my mind yet but it's like 1600? But that's with everything done to them.

I have looked at spacers I do worry about the rotor and sprocket alignment thou.

That sounds awesome except the whole 5am thing. I'd rather suck my exhaust than get up that early. That said, I might be getting a real job soon, after 20 years of self employment. So I might be sucking exhaust anyway

When I worked for the carpenters union for 32 years my hours were mostly 6am-2pm with the occasional 5am start. Always liked being home early missing traffic to and from work.

good looking bike and great price tbh. i do find it annoying that the tracers no longer have a gt model for the base model you have to buy the gt+ for like 16k...

Had a few jobs that required a VERY early wake-up. Sucked for the first few weeks but, yeah, the benefits of being done ahead of the majority of folks was worth it!
