Ever since I mounted my 7089's I'm getting a vibe at around 45mph that come and goes. I know this could be a ton of different things that are causing it, but one that I would like to rule out is if hub centric rings are necessary for 7989's.
Next question everyone will ask is, "Are the wheels hub centric or lug centric?"
I honestly don't know. There are no fitment issues that I can see. I am using the provided center cap and I am using the shanked spline lugs that are necessary because of our short wheel studs and Pro Comps thick hub walls.
If anyone can comment on whether or not their setup up needed hub centric rings I would appreciate it.

i think the Pro Comp hub centric wheels are drilled out to the Chevy center bore which is smaller than the tacoma, so you likely have lug centric wheels...

don't quote me on that one though...

im sure someone rolling the wheels wil chime in...

I have the 7089's and I think they only only come in lug centric configurations. I could be wrong. But if you do in fact have lug centric wheels then you need special lug nuts with the extra tall shank. Wheelers has them

NVM: read your post more clearly and you have the right nuts.

So since you have extra tall nuts I think your wobble is something else.

Thanks for the reply, how does yours drive and are you using the provided center caps?

i am running these wheels with Km2's with no issues. I too bought some lug "nuts" from wheelers. hopefully you figured this out. i get some vibrations when i get in the mud but a quick fix with garden hose is key. are you lifted in rear and what set up do you have. drive shaft carrier bearing drop kit might help or some shims, sounds like its random so these might not help.

I have the helper spring in the rear providing the extra lift. I still am having the same issues, and the vibes are in the steering wheel, not the seat. I'm going to be replacing my pads and rotors soon, then I'm going with the LR upper control arms to get my alignment perfect.

I have 7089s with Toyo A/T tires and i have zero vibes since I got them. I have the extended thread Gorilla lug nuts which I was told is a must.

give them a call and let them know what you have and they will hook you up and don't worry they know what they're doing as long as you let them know what you have you will get the right part. Talk to Dan and he'll know what you need.

i went with GOR 21138ET 12mmx 1.5 small diameter lug nut E/T style and 1921SD-key and i believe you can get regular style
