Providing food to the needy is a great passion to have. I share that passion myself. If you regularly donate items consider canned fruit, canned meat, and spices. The small packs of salt and pepper shakers are inexpensive and needed. Also consider spam and Vienna sausages.

I have a BRRC sub myself. I sometimes buy extra if it is a decent offer.

Enjoy the day and have some fun. Looking forward to the pics.

Good morning. Today is all about my sons truck and getting a wood chipper running so I can sell it. Might pick up a 1/2 in slice of bologna to smoke for dinner, along with some burgers.

Mowing is on my agenda today, for sure. I went for three weeks without mowing during July, grass didn't grow and too hot to sit on the tractor anyway. Now I've had over three inches of rain in the past week and the grass is growing like it was in April. Problem now is hoping the rain holds long enough for the grass to dry enough to mow. Takes me about 5 hours to get it all done, there's 6-1/2 acres to mow.

Sorry but I just saw this. It was 10-1 at New Cumberland Borough park. 250+ vehicles were there. Will post pics later, just got home.

All of our donations come from grocery salvage, dented cans and crushed boxes etc. We also get produce locally and bread. We get racks of bread sometimes, no bread this week, we never know what we are getting we just box it up and give it away. It's very rewarding to be a part of this.
This is 24' of table doubled up. You walk around the table and fill the boxes with a variety of foods. It's all done by volunteers from the church.
    20250808_104743.jpg
Once the boxes are emptied and sorted they are then refilled.

3 rows deep, 8 pallets worth.
    20250808_104911.jpg
We ended up with 141 boxes to give out. People can get 1 box for every 2 people in the house, plus bread when we have it, produce, and beverages. It's an awesome way to serve the community. Some people end up attending the church. Show the people love, kindness and friendship and they will want more and seek fellowship. We don't judge anybody.
We package all the food on a Friday and then distribute it on Saturday.
