Interchangeable body parts

I have a 2012 Tacoma 4dr. My son just busted the front driver door up and I'm looking for a replacement. I found an '08 that matches color. Are all 2nd gen doors of the same trim interchangeable? Thanks

 

Structurally and mechanically, they are the same....but i think the wiring harness would vary depending on options and between Gen2 and Gen2.5.

05-11 is gen 2, 12-15 is gen 2.5

 

2005 through 2015 a front door from an access cab will work on a double cab.

Regular/single cab doors are physically the longest doors and will not fit anything but a regular/single cab

door harness will be identical on all 05-2015 access cab/double cabs except for TWO EXCEPTIONs:

1. bare bones base models may have crank windows and no power mirrors, any SR5 and above trim will have power everything

2. 2012-2015 TRD SPORT and LIMITED models will have an extra wire in the door harness for the mirror turn signals.
