My HS also had the burnouts, jocks, nerds clicks.
We had a smoking area in my HS. You could get a pass during study hall or lunch to go out there. We were the last class to have it before they got rid of it, 1988.
It wasn't always cigs that were smoked out there. The good ole dug out and bat one hitter was handy for this.
There would be the occasional teacher out there along with a hack sack circle going on.

Wow that's crazy for that era to have a smoking area students could use. It's funny to think about the things that were looked down upon in the 80s and 90s but now are just accepted.

    Some good, some bad.

Looking back, I think DARE was a good thing.

Our high school was right across the street from the 16th precinct, Detroit Public Schools. We had a smoking area, cops had to have smelled the pot , of course the pot back then was pretty shitty, or so I’ve heard :D o_O 75’ era

Reading some of the comments about the nerds , jocks and burn outs in high school cracks me up. The unofficial motto for my class graduation in 1977 was "Drunk as hell, High as Heaven, Were the class of 77" In the class pictures you could see the stoners who showed up for the class picture stoned. I was proud to be one of them and still am. Back then white guys and some girls were wearing Afros and getting their ears pierced which were new fads. Disco was huge and so were platform shoes , leisure suites and bell bottoms. Dingo boots were also popular and everyone tried to look like John Travolta.
I stuck with my stoner buddies and drank a lot of beer, smoked weed and listened to Lynryd Skynyd, The Outlaws and Neil Young. There were party's in the back of the junkyard where we had huge bonfires and camped out all night in the dead of Ohio winters. It was time to go home when the bonfire burned down and everyone started freezing. I preferred plain pocket T Shirts, jeans and shit kickers or cheap canvas tennis shoes and laughed at my brother who dressed like he was gonna dance in Saturday Night Fever. I still raze him about that and how he loved the Village People which he now denies.
I sobered up and did quite well eventually. I also still have my stoner buddy who now owns the wrecking yard and that yard is still there. No regrets. A lot of memories. Every time I see the movie Dazed and Confused, that was us. I believe we were called the lost generation.

Remember the edible version of these.
    Mmm, mmm, gag. .
I can't remember the flavors...but I'd take an easy bake oven over thst, any day.
They stopped making the edible goo because s4b would make their younger siblings eat the rubber, but tell them it was edible.
    Nothing wrong with that...right?

How about a Wham-o Air Blaster bazooka?
Made a hell of a boom.
    I wore that thing out.
Next door kid had a mini version of it.
I'd dust baby powder in the muzzle so I could see the air-ball go.
