It’s really nice weather!

I parked myself close to the shore, put sunblock on…then went in the water.

I hit at least 3 waves to body surf when I heard the Lifeguard blow his whistle at me.

I was wondering why no one was swimming where the waves were crashing! lol

Anyhow, I sat down and dried for 5 mins then left my spot.

Went back to my parked truck and dumped my Playmate Cooler, Beach Chair, and swapped out my flip flops for sneakers.

Finally, hit the spot for Blue Crab!

It’s been a good day!

 

Just got home.

Man!

There are drivers who want to sabotage highway 1 by staying in the fast lane!

I swear...they are more of a danger than a driver in the right lane driving 45 mph. lol

Welp, that was a busy Saturday!

It was only 30 minutes before my buddy & his wife picked me up for dinner drinks.

We are all at an age where 10pm is reasonable time to call it a night! lol

Cleaning around the house/kitchen and watching CBS Sunday Morning.

I'll be doing some grocery shopping later and get my meal prep for Carne Asada + Rice/Beans.

I'm almost done pulling weeds by the shed...got some green apples falling from the tree that attracts various creatures.

Time for some breakfast.

Ed you inspired me and I just spent about 45 min pulling weeds in the yard…

 

Well, I'm glad to hear that! lol

 

Yeah it was rough because I really really hate yard work lol

 

lol!

Yard work is like therapy for me.

I love the results of my labor.

 

I need to adopt that mentality!

Back to the grind...

I've got some chores to do before my wife returns on Thursday...first, I'll clean up my pans/dishes from yesterday's meal-prep when I get home.

Today, I'll attack the yard first considering Wed is trash/recycle day...I get home from the gym on base around 4:15-4:30pm.

I'll finish doing laundry after dinner while watching TV and then I'll clean the stove top--remove 3 grills and the gas/pilot pieces and lightly scrub away all the grime.

Still have to change out the kitty litter boxes...and clean the bathroom (Shower/Sink/Toilet/Floor).

I'll have to pace myself...so making a priority list will be helpful.

Man! I'm tired already talking about this.

OMG!

Work is busy already!!!

Yeah, I got Dangerous Goods training I missed today...rescheduled for tomorrow morning...need to put reminder on my phone.

I've got screenshots of 80-90% of the responsibilities of this job...some things are done daily while others are randomly tasked.

It keeps me busy and employed...plus I have a second business trip coming up at the end of the month--once a year traveling ain't too shabby.

 

Morning neighbors. Took the day off work to take my son to meet his cousin at great wolf lodge. They’re having fun while I sit on the sidelines.

I bought new wax for my truck, so mentally preparing myself to wash, clay buff, wax and polish the truck in the near future. Not sure if I want to put in the work before off roading in October. Don’t want to buff the current pin stripes out just to add more.

For a mod this weekend that I’m really excited for, hopefully I’ll be sharing pics of it on Saturday. I’ll be keeping everyone in suspense until then.

I also found a topper that I might take a chance on. I don’t like the idea of having it shipped. Found it in a fb group, it’s in NC but an 8 hour drive there.

I've yet to wax my truck...the soapy carwash product I use says it has wax in it...the paint is still glossy!

Looking forward to seeing your truck's topper if you go that route.

 

I’ll be getting in soon, just relaxing at this point.

I think if the topper was within reasonable pick up distance, I would have already bought it (and asked forgiveness from my wife). I don’t like the idea of having it shipped.


I really like the idea of taking care of my trucks exterior but in practice it’s annoying lol. I’ve got turtle wax graphene paste wax. I used it in the paste and think I liked it. Before I ceramic coated my truck.
