God daughters banana ball finally ate. Wouldn't eat fresh thawed. My buddy picked up 3 live mice and she ate right away.

Both my balls ate hamsters for the first time. Same for the the kings they both got their first taste of hamsters. No pictures of them. They like to eat in their hides.

Have you tried f/t ASF rats? Or braining to try to make that sucker really smell? The other one iv used with baby carpets is a small paper bag or box that is piiiitch black inside and leave the snake and prey item inside for a few hours. Generally come back and it's gone.

I'll have to update pictures here this weekend. I have another water python that is far less psychotic so far and the female albino motely boa that just wemt in quarantine last night.

I think we decided the one room is getting allocated to the snakes aswell and building out a section of the basement for the bedroom to get out of the summer heat.

    What is MBK ?
The snake looks to be a black pine but the picture isn't crisp enough to tell for sure.

Mbk is a Mexican black kingsnake.

So the project has started. Framing is done. Electrical and plumbing I'm tackling this week then ideally I will be drywalling next weekend. Pricey endeavor but damn will it ever be nice once everyone is moved in.

    As I thought.
The head and nose lead me to believe otherwise. A close up of the head sure would be nice. Here is a speckled king of our Oklahoma locale.20210905_172153.jpg

Your doing what id like to do this fall. But my basement will need alot of gutting there's just so much down there. I might just hire some guys to come and gut it. Than with a clean Slate build it how I envision.

Last sand and first coast of primer goes on tonight. Over the course of this project I have learned I hate drywall work. But this will be worth it in the end. Not a huge space but it's big enough to be comfortable with all of the adult tanks.

Also put my viper in a small tank with a mouse to see if he would eat. Since he hasn't ate in over 2months. Most stubborn snake I've ever owned.

Did you leave it in a completely dark room or under a blanket or over night? Nothing worse than animals that don't want to eat. Doesn't look at all underweight yet. Was watching a dm exotics video earlier where he was commenting on how miserable viper boas can be with feeding.

But I'm getting close to moving the first critters into the new room last coat of paint goes on today then just painting the floor and base boards left.
    20250810_110245.jpg
And i found the right opportunity to add a blood python to the group so meet Bubba a T+ blood
    20250808_222031.jpg
Just have to wait for him to clear quarantine then he can get a proper set up in the new room.
Sat down with the misses yesterday and we built out a Google sheet to clarify all the feed/shed tracking i have been doing aswell as costing to feed each animal.
    20250809_204809.jpg
That's a tally of just shy of 2 years with my olive python.
The mobile version looks much better.
