Time to shower cause it was hot out.

This was my wife's niece, so I guess technically my niece.

It's really shitty that she has no one to turn to so when she texted my wife, we weren't gonna turn her down at all (she's also pregnant).

Her bf, or ex or w.e. let's her drive around knowing the car needs to be maintained/checked. My BIL is useless and was asked if he could help but said "he doesn't know how to"

I boogied across the state last night and I'm discovering the BMW gets way better MPG sitting at 80-85 (32mpg) than it does going 65-70 (28-30mpg). Gotta love them autobahn gears, but I'd bet they'd do better in US EPA ratings if they just geared them a little more friendly for US highway speeds.

These are really nice cars - economical and fun to drive.

    If I ever needed a daily, I wouldn't mind a Mazda 6.

Although I'd probably want a Lexus IS instead; those are sporty little things.

I can appreciate that the drain plug and oil filter were stupidly convenient to get to, and the filter is pointing straight down meaning absolutely zero mess.

Mazda has mastered the art of decent and cheap. You don't feel bad driving one and you're not even out as much money as a nice Toyota. Longevity... Eh they arent bad, so what more could you ask for.

They walk a weird line, other than the Miata they depreciate really quick but they don't really fall apart like something that normally would depreciate really quick... So people just keep em as a backup or whatever since trading it in doesn't net much.

How I feel about the BMW, no mess to service. Drain is easy and when on ramps the oil slopes toward it. The filter is right on top and won't make any mess since it is cartridge style and once you start opening it the vacuum breaks and the oil drains into the block.

    That's good

I had a grocery bag at the ready as I always did that with the 4R and Tacoma

Even the Rav4 is cleaner to do than a Taco or 4R

Every time I use my Pittsburgh creeper I tell myself I'm going to change the wheels...then I don't. Future me would appreciate it though.

Agreed, they do a great job. And the new interiors are really well done. No silly 12" screens to be found.
