We've been running into some colder temps lately. 51 this morning and 88 at noon.

Anybody notice that a lot of the newbies want to talk about their trucks on this thread? I mean, we all came here because we own Tacos, but one of the things I like about the thread is it's not covered up in Taco talk. Just my take. Your milage may vary...

Welcome to the porch all of the new folks. Life is good when you dont have a bunch of younguns' bugging you.

Ken @Groan Old, I thought the same about age in the thread, but then I woke up one day and damn here I am 77 and still in motion. I started the thread (when I was looking for information about my Tacoma) in June of 2011. Time sure does fly (to fast sometimes.)

    Enjoy folks

These days, I feel lucky (OK, channel that detective Harry Callahan voice, the mayor of Carmel, CA) to get out from under a car or truck. I jack it up higher than I used to, and managed to replace the front strap (welded nut and single bolt) on the front cat (nor scalded) Saturday afternoon after picking up the hardware at the dealer. Time for the next frame treatment in September. and a shower, since I scraped some off on my scrappy old long sleeve shirt.
Not a good season for cross country travel, road construction and more, as my youngest reported after her usual 6-hour drive from here to her sister's on the Olympic Peninsula (WA) took 10 hours on the return (Taco Narrows Bridge) and 12 hours to Edmonds and the ferry across Puget Sound. I don't mind 'em considering me "slow" as I always relax and enjoy the ride. Have great week!
When is the time change for this thread? Going from 60+ to 70+ to ?
(Dad ordered his last truck, my SR5-DLT, when he was 80. Our last fishing trip together, he drove this truck when he was 81, pulling his 1962 Grumman Sportcanoe (aluminum Maine Guide boat). He caught a couple smallmouth bass, and we had a great day! A Yamaha 4-stroke 2.5 hp outboard engine is arriving Thursday! Comparable to the first Johnson 3 hp 2-stroke of the early 1960s)

What, me worry? - Alfred E. Neuman
I've started on my eighth decade in this physical existence, so I was looking for the 70+ thread... I'm out for "Taco Trek, the Next Generation" that came after the First Generation... (in the future, there is no beer because we drank it here, but it makes synthesizing beer anew easier...)

Welcome to the Porch Charlie @Charlie Bravo...We have 70+ folks on the thread here and I don't even know if we have a few 80+. At this time in our lives, it's not how old you are but how you handle it. Enjoy.
