That doesn't include installing @1buzzbait's A/C unit, does it?

Basement is kind of a dumpster fire, so I did the best I could with what I had.

You can kinda see the hodge-podge plumbing on the jet pump o_O

I cut out all the old copper that was there and went new. Eventually it will need a new well (one deep enough for an in-ground pump) so I set it up to where it can easily be connected. I've corrected so much wrong here. o_O

But I've been super impressed with the Aquasure stuff. The softener, charcoal whole house filter, 20" sediment filter, and some extra sediment filters was only $1000 shipped to the door. Had some issues with the order, but customer service is located in the US and you get an actual person out of California. They made everything right, no real fighting it.

You have to admire the guy, he has more guts than I did at that age - or much later.

    Evening shop. :hattip:

We took a day trip to Cheyenne this past weekend, happened across an art fair. One of the vendors was selling bugs.. that she had electroplated, mostly with copper. And it intrigued me. So now im researching electroplating. I dont necessarily plan on doing bugs. But it looks like you can do most anything. :spending:

You can actually electroplate 3D printed stuff even... gotta use the right materials of course. Back in the day the Toyota dealership used to pay a guy to gold plate some emblems on certain cars they wanted to jack the price up on etc

Speaking of welders, my buddy who works on them text me yesterday and ask if I could turn this armature where the brushes go. It's a chunk!

Boss ask if I could braze this plate in, I said no. I can't get it hot enough (it's 10" O.D. & 3" thick). It has to be water tight. Another shop brazed it, they preheated it in their oven to 400 degrees.

When the customer dropped it off I ask him why it couldn't be TIG welded, he said my boss is a mechanical engineer. I said say no more.

I bored it out and put an 1/8" chamfer on it for the braze to fill.
