This is triple stacked with class 9 tires chasing a race but this is the angled idea. The bottom tire is hard mounted meaning bolted down, the top tire(s) are strapped. My battery and spare rack are under the angle of the tire. I daily my truck so the one spare is always in. Only takes a minute to load spare 2.

i like how easy tires are to get in and out with mine vertical. having to lay them on there side into something or having them stacked seems annoying to me but everyones got there way they like so idk...lol

I agree. If I was to build the spare tire area again I would go vertical. It still allows space for the battery under the tire too.

Anyone have 17x 8.5/9 tacomas wheels for sale. Just need 2 for use with new spare setup. If they match, that's all that matters to me.

    Local to Southern California.

What size wheel spacers are you guys using in the rear? I've had a 2" for years without issue. How much is too much?

anyone with more knowledge than me want to inform me on rather a 14" vs 16" 3 tube bypass will make that much of a difference with an SUA kit? will the dampening be any different? limit travel numbers? Thanks

Depends on the SUA kit. It's important to get the travel as close as you can to how much travel the kit offers so you can optimize the use of your bypass zones.

To answer the question, a 16" shock will not benefit and would actually be counter productive if you're only cycling 14" worth of travel.

Ill be going with the JD fab or DMZ SUA. still trying to decide. both claim about the same amount of travel numbers

I really like JD fab since it does look to have more clearance on the rear hangers compared to other SUA kits on the market.

I hate the cyber truck but I think this is awesome! There once a time when flying over the Atlantic was new and insane.

    Whole lotta stuff
Are you doing a bed cage? You can't run a 16" shock on either of those kits without a bed cage, it would be sub optimal.

I believe to make the most of a 16" even with the bed cage would also require a frame notch. Following the philosophy of quality over quantity should never be ignored.
