That was a long walk of shame for Chase today.

I wonder if Chase is going to take another break from racing. I like he was like “eff this POS bike” and just left it on the track. A new team and a fresh start will be good for him.

Chase being chase is just sad, but im not a fan so I just shake my head. seems about right.

I doubt he hangs it up for the season with SMX title still in play, but if he drops another egg next weekend hes going to be in a shit headspace for the combined title.
And then comes back to defend Sx title next year on a new bike he's trying to figure out and struggles could be epic meltdown time.

Did it lock up before or after he pile drove the bike into the ground?

It was locked up in the air so something happened on takeoff.

Yeah, the way he was almost falling off the back of the bike in the air makes it look like it locked up on the ground, so that when the front tire left the lip of the jump, the bike tried to shoot out from under him. Come to think of it, I wonder if something similar caused the Chadapult incident back in 2012...

You can see the front wheel locked up as he is in the air. If you’ve ever killed your bike in the air and tried to land, I’d imagine that was the same feeling.

I’m pretty sure he has a brake rotor guard. What could have gotten in there? Maybe a random piece of string?

That should be a good race. Hopefully everyone stays healthy until then and Chase gets a new front wheel. :D

could literally be anything, a stray rock, part of another persons bike, piece of grip wire from someone elses bike, part of his bike and they are deflecting. Always seems to happen to this guy though

Right, which is exactly what would happen if the front brake locks up on the face of a jump you're trying to scrub... it takes an odd circumstance to cause a swap on the face of a jump like that. Probably a circumstance that would take the weight off the back of the bike.. like sudden braking.

Reed cross rutted up the face of the triple and got launched. Take the tinfoil hat off dude.

Why do you need to be such a disrespectful little asswipe? There were no ruts on that jump you fucking dipshit. Reed himself said he wasn't sure what happened, but it's good to know you know everything. Piss off.

Chase would have probably won that race if he didn't
The broadcast showed some other angles too. It's worth checking it out on peacock. You can clearly see off the face of the jump the front wheel locked up on him. No one who does a big send just locks up the front wheel. Something mechanical failed. The falls that dude can take. Almost looked like a pala repeat.

Sure looked like he wheelies out of his rut, gets crossed while ramping up the jump face, rear end shoots out when he hits some bumps, and he goes for a ride. You don’t have to have big giant SX ruts at the top of a jump face or some giant theatric swap to get cross rutted.

You also need to grow up and learn to have a conversation. This isn’t the first time you’ve been a giant manchild in this thread and I’m not the first person to call you on it. How does calling someone disrespectful and a fucking dipshit in the same breath justify anything you’re trying to get across?

Reed’s wheel didn’t lock up. He got up after the crash and kept racing.
