Hey I don’t get it, I paid msrp years ago. But that’s where the market is, so that’s what I’m listing it for.

Certain Lego sets appreciate faster than gold. It’s been like that for years.

Ha! I don't blame you. I would squeeze every dollar I could out of them...

... I just chuckle at "collectible" toys. Beanie Babies come to mind.

But I have also spent a stupid amount of money on patches, so I certainly have no place to judge.

    Some of those $1 HotWheels . . .

It sucks that I have a bunch of large, built Legos that need to GTFO. Taking them apart and counting up the parts has been a roadblock.

Once you hit a certain price point Lego kits cease to be kids toys and instead become a type of model kit for adults. The real expensive ones on my for sale list (911, Batmobile, and Slave 1) are all part of the latter category.

There are some sets that cost nearly $1,000 brand new MSRP and a whole lot around the $500 mark. They aren't built for play, they're built to be put on shelves.

Yeah I have a bunch like that, too. I'm starting with the BNIB stuff because it should be easier to move.

In the market for some low profile bed racks that will work with a roll up tonneau cover, and yakima/Thule racks (kayak, snowboard, paddle board etc)

Also a roll up tonneau cover for a 6" bed.

Eventually. Haven't sold the canopy yet

What was the MSRP on these?
I’m surprised Porsche didn’t sell these exclusively thru the dealership so ADM could be added to it

it’s a nutty price, but I’m sure someone with a 991 Orange RS will pay up for it.

My mom still occasionally buys me a LEGO set (it takes us both back to simpler times) and she bought me the GT3 set when I turned 40. I've always loved LEGO, have bins and bins of pieces from the last 40 odd years but I don't collect them to collect, so I went to work assembling the set. As a LEGO nerd, I've got to say, the GT3 build is an absolute experience. I've built other collaborative sets (BMW GSA1200, BMW S1000RR, Ford GT, FNF Dodge Charger, etc) and the GT3 is truly unique. You open the box and are greeted with Porsche and LEGO details from the onset. The workbook is glossy and massive and to see the thing go together, complete with working flat 6 and dual clutch trans, not only as a LEGO nerd but as a car nerd, is truly awesome. IMHO, there's waaaaay worse stuff to spend money on.

PS-my family credits my mechanical aptitude to years of building LEGO. Way worse stuff to spend money on for your kid's toys, too.
