2002 3.4 w/ac. 10,000 MLs AGO OEM! Mechanic replaced Tmng belt kit & new belts etc. Every COLD start 3 sec squeal.
    1. 2 outer belts are tighter than what I would consider Tight enough. I know this much. (Caused a bearing(s) to wear out?)
    2. AC is cold, fan clutch is good
    3. Temp perfect- runs Smooth. Supposedly the mechanic put in the Tensioner and water pump etc.
4 Old soap trick works for a little bit. WHERE NOW? Thank you.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
Whatever you do, do not spray belt dressing on it. IMO, your belt will never be the same after that.

I’ve always used Goodyear Gatorback belts on my vehicles and they were fantastic. Recently my 14 Tacoma ate a serpentine belt and I bought a current model Goodyear, sadly, the Gatorback is discontinued!

I’ve known dealers to install non OEM parts in their shop, maybe you got a cheap belt? Maybe you’ve got some sticky residue on your idler? It may be worth cleaning all of your pulleys and idler with some brake cleaner, especially if belt dressing was ever used.

    agreed ^^^
    IMO
80% of the time squealing belt issue can be corrected by tightening

I just ran into this trick…..watching vids on a Subaru TBelt RR I did this weekend
(I have never heard of b4) but makes sense to me and used

    for ribbed belts
    Tighten belt
    Then twist belt
Correct tension should be little more than 1/4 of a twist
    No…..not exact
But much better than the “tension finger poke”. Less exact

    this, 500%
regardless how many here tell you to....
    something is wrong...
belt not tight enough, alignment issue...
    damper rubber failing...
dampner not on all the way
    etc, etc...
take it back to the guy & scream, ever since.....

was the issue there prior to the work being done?

bearings failed after he did the work?
that means belts were removed again....
loose belts regardless what you think...
but needs to be inspected by someone in the know, dont just crank things tighter...

If shop RR’d belt, most likely just stretched a bit…….tighten it have them tighten and waste the day
