Stock with a camper shell for now.
Getting ready to do upper & lower control arms and shocks this weekend, while doing so I’m thinking I will remove the sway bar. My question is what does everyone do with the hole in the spindle ? Put a bolt through it or leave it ?

Scrubbed some tires, and knocked a dent out.
    Just left it alone.

Yup just leave it as is, or spray the hole with a little paint if you want to protect it from corrosion.

I'm curious about the high speed handling of removing it.

90+ mph on the freeway, taking clover leaf ramps at 35mph, and 55+ mph on minimum maintenance roads with all 4 tires on the ground. As long as you don't drive the truck like a race car you barely notice it's not there.
I have driven older trucks with front swaybars that behaved waaaaay worse than my Tacoma with no swaybar.

Why put on all that nice suspension just to neuter it by leaving the swaybar connected.
Also the Tacoma fails the moose test in stock configuration so throw that bar in the bin and never look back.

And to answer OPs question, I left my bolt holes open to the elements because I wasn't going to waste time finding a bolt to fit in there.

If you're wheeling hard enough to benefit from sway bar delete, weld on spindle gussets.

I find that even fire roads and service roads benefit from the bar removal. I wish it was easier to disable it on any vehicle.
