Correct, i was just using my compressor example as a story time of loaded vs. Unloaded voltage checks.

And to clear the drain I use a straightened metal coat hanger and carefully prod around untill the water starts to drain. Since it sounds like your water may have drained already, you may be able to see inside the tube with your phones video camera. Either that or I blow backwards with compressed air. With the fan out you may be able to see into the evaporator. The drain tube leads to the evaporator area so you could possibly even leave a flashlight in there and prod with a rod until you see the light

(remember that you are dealing with a Taco newbie & a dumbass) When I was on the floor under the glove box I didn't see a tube. Where should I look for it?

I can easily see how the Evap Tube would clog with dust, pollen, crumbled leaves etc. I reckon that a clogged Evap Tube would lead to water backing up into the Blower Motor housing?

is the Evaporator located above or below the cabin air filter assembly?

[UPDATE] I found a very helpful video on Y'AllTube that I think addresses the water backup issue. It clearly shows where the Evap Tube is and where it goes thru the firewall.
Unclog Toyota AC Drain! Don't let your AC Drain Total your Car!

I guess my latest question is this: if the bent cabin air filter allowed dirt, pollen, crumbled leaves to get past it into the blower motor area, could the detritus also have clogged the Evap Drain TUbe, allowing water to backup into the blower motor housing?

Have you successfully unclogged the line? if yes then move on. If it clogs again soon, then I guess you will know why and then you can start taking shit apart to get in there and clear remaining debris. But I personally don't think a small bend in your filter caused all of this. I think it was just years of built up mung in that drain line. It happens all the time (hence that video you found).

But then again what the hell do I know!

You know a lot more than me, that's for sure.

You're right, a small bend in the air filter wouldnt allow a ton of junk to get past it. But in this case, that filter had a serious kink in it reaching halfway across. About 4 inch wide wedge-shaped gap. I found a bunch of debris in the Blower Motor when I removed the housing as well as a bunch of water pouring out.

I'm using some Kentucky Windage to guess at the sequence but I reckon it happened this way:
*mechanic jammed in the cabin air filter, kinking it and creating the large gap
*over the course of at least 8 months, debris got past the air filter, into the blower motor
*debris also got into the Evap Tube creating a clog.
*condensation couldn't drain, water slowly built up and backed into the blower motor housing, killing the Blower Motor.

What does the gang say - plausible?

LMAO - I'm waiting for Scamazon to git here so I can slap the new blower motor in! Now go get me a beer, dammit.

Once it shows up, I'll go outside to Hot As Hell and clear out the Evap TUbe and install the mofo motor. I'll also measure the OD of the Evap Tube so I can order a four foot length of hose with an ID matching the Evap TUbes OD and install it as an extension so the Evap Tube doesnt drip onto the Taco's frame. If I see any rust on the frame I'll fix that with Rustoleum Rust Reformer and topcoat it with high temp enamel.

Good News. It worked. A sincere Thank You too all of you here who took the time to help me with advice and suggestions!

One YT video said before installing the blower motor, to first plug the power onto it and test it. Bingo! Spun up just fine.

So I stuffed the Evap Tube thru the firewall, popped the hood to ensure it was sticking thru okay. Also looked at the frame to see if there was any rusting. Nope.

Then I carefully aligned the motor into place, pushed the housing shroud up and used an electric wrench and 5.5mm socket to put the three screws back in. Clipped the power bundle into place.

Then I started her up, turned the fan to blast and punched the AC button. Good airflow....And......freezing cold air!

    Yeah baby!
