    This sounds great. Not that I have time to even consider it at the moment...

    I did get a chance to go 'round Australia in a 90-Series (me) and 2 other 100-Series land Cruisers (w'Manual gearboxes too! - can't help mention...).

    I did not have time to go all the way around, but did more than a month off-road, from Sydney to cape York and across to Darwin. My colleagues did continue all the way around and a detour to the middle (To Uluru).

    Can this be done without overlanding? I want to be able to spend the night at a motel, fuel up get snacks for the driving. I do understand this will make the trip longer but I'm good with that.

    Also, I have a stock SR5 with BFG A/Ts.

    I would think so. You just need to be a good planner. You can make it happen whichever way you like. I'm going to do this trip too.
