60+ year old thread.

The Appalachian Trail will remain on my bucket list at this point. It doesn't look like life will find a way for that one. And I've never wanted to do the Pacific Crest south of San Francisco. But the northern part was beautiful.

 

It's not just Sprinters. Semis are the same way. My former employer has pretty much given up on the DEF systems. When new trucks start having problems around the 120k mark, they just replace everything. We had trucks that spent weeks out of service with problems that seemingly couldn't be fixed. We usually had 3-5 extra trucks in the yard to cover for trucks that had exhaust issues.

That cost gets passed on to the customer.

Thankfully, DOT and EPA are giving a serious look at what can be done, as the situation is not sustainable.

 

Good to hear, that sucks - over regulation is a problem. I really wanted to go to a diesel vehicle to escape the Ethanol mandate but diesel prices obviously have skyrocketed over the last 5 years and haven't come down.

I thought it was some fancy interface or something. I could see LG having a touch screen or something like that. Women love tech.

 

"Perceived"... LOL Washing clothing, one of the things people have been doing by slapping their togs on rocks and wringing them with their hands since water was invented. Separate the colors from the whites and they get clean. As long as the clothes have been washed a few times, don't separate the colors from the whites and they still get clean. I've seen people wash clothing in a sealed container bolted to their back bumper.

Same here, there are better alternatives to corn based ethanol, nuff said!
