Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Back on July 1st, I ordered new tires for my 400 Bandit. They are odd sized (110/70/17, 150/70/17) and are only a couple of manufacturers that have tires in both sizes. I am currently running Pirelli Sport Demons, but they are about $300 for a set. I found Continental Conti Motions were considerably cheaper. I could find several places that had the fronts but not the rears. I found 2 rears...one in OH, with a date code of 2017, and one in Italy with $87 shipping. Then Summit Racing (of all places) popped up, claiming they had them, so I ordered. The front came in about a week and a half. About a week later, I got an e-mail saying expected ship date of 8/25. Then 8/17. Then, a week ago, 9/16. Monday morning, I got an email revising the ship date to 8/14...and another about 3 hours later asking if I still want to wait for the order.

The rear tire shipped yesterday, arriving tomorrow according to FedEx.

I really like the Pirellis, but $300 for a set of tires that'll probably age out before they're half used was not my preference.

    Sick!

Did you know that Ari Henning, formerly of cycleworld currently of revzilla makes/assembles/whatevers those? He posts about them fairly regularly on IG.

Yeah. I actually bought it from his site. I've seen them on 550 Performance and CRF Only. I have followed him and Zack since they had Throttle Out. I still need to buy the CBR300 cams. I'll also need to send my ECU back to Maverick at 550 and let him remap it. I believe he does it for free since I already have his stage 1. I kept my stock ECU, so I won't have any downtime while I send this one off :D

34% hp and 25% tq increase should be noticeable

Ari just sent me an email asking if I had other mods needed to go with the kit. I told him what all I had and that I forgot to order the cams. He added the cams for me. He also said Maverick does free reflashes.

You will absolutely feel a difference with 36%hp and 25% torque. He's always seemed like a pretty stand up dude. Whenever I'm watching a youtube video of the two of them my wife will always make some kind of comment about "oh look, its the guys you wish you were besties with"

I'm not gonna lie.........I would love to hang out with them and do some of the crazy motorcycle trips they've done  I rewatched the sidecar from VT to Canada just the other day. They don't seem like they're "working" and just really enjoy it........even the one where they rode to SF on like $25

IMG_1173.jpg Cleaned and the XSR900 for sale about a month ago.

I even wrote up a Facebook advertisement and took some pictures.

I’ve ridden at least 2x per week ever since.

    The thing is a monster.

I started riding when I was around 18 or so when my manager at Dominos Pizza gave me parking lot lessons on his old Suzuki GT550 between deliveries when it was slow.

Looks like the Yamaha is going to stay around for season #40.

After I get the front forks for the Rally, I might really start looking for something.

That’s always been one of the greatest looking motorcycles on the street. If I had the room and $ to have a stable of bikes like I had in my ‘20s, it would be a strong contender.
