Considering Russia has been short on various types of ammunition (to the point of needing North Korean stock imported) they might be looking at diverting production capacity too since their plans for a "short fight" is now going on 3+ years.

PPU was pretty good bulk ammo for M80, M193, & 30-06 M2 ball. My second choice after GGG.

PPU was always great for the odd ball calibers too. Reasonably priced stuff thats not in production anymore...like 303 brit or 6.5swiss type stuff

Yup along with GOA and FPC. Sounds like there will be a few lawsuits.

BUT this wont happen till Jan 1st is what I have heard. Both the reduction in tax to zero and also the lawsuits.

Got a Quest 3 VR headset so I had to get the ACE virtual shooting system, ran just over 1K rounds yesterday and then the rest today, very happy with it, the weighted handset feels good.

I just got the same email an hour ago. For us in California that is huge. Before if you had ammo shipped to an ffl (and you had to have it shipped to a ffl) they added their fee which made the ammo way more expensive. It wasn’t worth ordering online and having it shipped. I just ordered a 1000 rounds of 9mm. If all goes well I’ll be ordering more. We can thank California Rifle and Pistol Association for this. They fought for this in court. God bless CRPA. If you live in California and you want to help preserve 2A here join CRPA. Im a life NRA member but I find CRPA does way more in their legal battles to preserve 2A. (And you get a great CRPA magazine)

Comparing and contrasting 2 different WWII military training rifles. Mossberg vs Remington. I wonder how many men used them. Both are heavily worn rebuilds. Both still incredibly accurate. IMG_1087.jpg

I was looking through Gunbroker and came across the Colt Viper which I didn’t know existed. In the Forgotten Weapons video about it, Ian McCollum mentioned another Colt even more valuable. The Boa

Here's some math that I just can't get to math.....

It was reported that Russia had the 3rd largest military in the world at the beginning of the conflict. They had almost as many soldiers as there were men between 18 and 35 in Ukraine.
After the initial invasion (time line 1 to 3 months depending on source) Russia's military had shrunk to the 11th largest military in the world. That's quite the bloody nose.
After the first year they were at 27th largest military in the world. And after that there is very little substantive reporting on Russia's military size compared to other countries.

Extrapolation on that descending trajectory puts them at near 45 or 50h largest army (Canada?) but they have conscripted TONS of people including farmers and convicts in prison and pulled in The NoKo Army. So who knows really.

My question, specifically to the nature of this thread is - how are we still able to import ANY arms and weaps from Russia and or former Soviet Block Countries? I figured Russia would be soaking all that stuff up ASAP.

Now Russia is hinting (in the middle of a failed war where best case they end up with as much territory as the county you live in) that they'd like to have Alaska back and that the US swindled them out of that land in the early 1800's. How is the supply of Rooskie Firearms substantial enough for them to even think about that threat? I say we do our part and go buy up as many Russian firearms as possible. Leave them with nothing and before they threaten enough that the supply dries up.

I am the furthest thing from a geopolitical expert but it's always been my understanding that a US/Russia conflict would have little to nothing to do with small arms.

To my knowledge Russian guns and ammo have been banned from import since 2021. Now what used to be eastern block countries is a different story. Most of them are now members of NATO and strong US allies.
