I remember when you could pump, say 5 gal of gas, then shut off the pump, then drain what was left in the hose...maybe a nickles worth of gas.
But back then, gas was under $1.

 

Those pumps were just being phased out as I started driving at 16. I still remember sitting on my grandpa's couch one summer in the 90s losing our minds over $1.29 gas lol

 

So...they are rich Bitches now?

 

Mid 70’s gas went over a dollar and there was gas rationing. It was the 72’ oil embargo. The Saudis got tired of getting screwed by everyone and suddenly the world woke up . Today people’s head would explode.The best crud oil is in Saudi Arabia, that’s why we kiss there ass.

 

Remember when property owners had rights and could allow smoking in their businesses?

 

I remember the story, obviously I wasn't alive in 72, but I do remember hearing about it.

People would stand in line with five gallon gas cans, dads driving, I’m behind him with a gas can

 

We've had some close calls, I know there was a few summers ago during COVID shit was getting crazy with gas here, there were some lines. Not as crazy at the embargo story but it was pretty tense.
