With rcv’s mine is strapped at 14.5”, cycles 15 pretty cleanly but with all the crawling I do I strapped a little short to be conservative. A 2wd guy set up properly could strap at 15” all day and be totally fine.

I tried like hell to get more when I built my swingset. Not happening. It’s a CV plunge issue that lands first. setup a 2.25 truck last year (same brand kit) and it didn’t even come close to advertised metal to metal. As @snowsk8air2 had already mentioned.

That won’t fix it. It’s already on their CV’s.

Yeah when I measured it was just control arms and spindle. No cv, no tie rod, no shocks limiting it. Just metal to metal on uniballs at the spindle severely under advertised.

I got 13” out of my +4 with no tie rods, CV’s or shocks. Maybe that’s how things are measured these days?

2” is huge. +4 is probably too much tbh.

16” on my camburg kit with relocated bumps.
2wd, shocks in. No tie rod.

I get a bit of bump steer I think at the limits, would like to get full heim steering set up next once I figure out what I’m gonna do with steering.
Tundra rack bolted in isn’t the greatest option.

Eleven hours to get from the Tahoma-side trailhead to Observation Point is fucking absurd.

We camped overnight at the first camp spot that's adjacent to the top of Cadillac Hill/Observation Point. I shuttled 4 dudes from there to Loon Lake to get their trailers so that they can bring em to the parking lot at the Tahoe side. My junk looked like a clown car with everyone piled inside and it sat LOW from all the weight, so low that they had to get out at the first actual rock pile because I got hung up. Only took about 40-45 minutes from the top at our camp spot to get to the parking lot. The entire round trip from start to finish was almost 9 hours, didn't get back to camp until about 1 in the morning. So I ended up doing that section 3 times, the final time was in the morning when it was time to leave and finish the trail.

Dang this is whats been on my mind.
I have the 2.25 on a 4x4. Wanna say i was barely getting 11” before maybe the uppers maxxed out? Probably less i really cant recall.

I was originally not wanting to do glass hence the 2” kit but ive since added 4” front fenders and looking to add bedsides.
    Is DK the call?
    And youre 4x correct @snowsk8air2 ?
I should have bought the dirt designs kit way back oh well… surprised no ones done anything similar to that with the fabbed spindle.
I do like the uniball pivots on the JD kit but dont want to go wider for no gain.
I have jd sua out back

This is the 1st EV to complete the Rubicon twice 2 years in a row now without any assistance. This past trip was the 2nd time completing the trail..
