Thighs and wings on the Akorn. Hot and indirect.

Smoking an 8.5 LB pork butt tonight on the Pit Boss pellet.

 

How long a cook time?

 

Woe is me...Stage 2 fire restrictions, no pellet grills allowed.

 

Wings finished slightly faster. Was about 20 minutes at 350-400 degrees.

Thighs are better than wings. And I love wings. Willing to fight someone over it.

8.5lb pork butt getting wrapped up. She's purdy and smells good.

 

Smoked a couple of butts yesterday.
7.5 lbs each. About 8 hours total on the offset.

 

Smoked some baby backs on the offset the other day, came out tasty

 

Sunday, in the heat..91 with a 103 feel like no breeze



Monday 75 feels like 75 11 mph winds...

 

I wrapped it in banana leaf overnight then wrapped in foil this morning till it was done 203° turned out great

Obviously it works well as a vacuum sealer too, but insta-marinate button is pretty cool!
