Anyone have problems with seized camber bolts during alignments?

    Update: followed the advice of getting all new oem hardware and it saved me a lot of trouble.. they did in fact have to cut the cam bolts out they were seized lol

    How did it go? Not too bad once you get into it, right? It sounded like a nightmare to me at first, but when I replaced my LCAs, I realized Toyota actually designed it pretty simply, though I did have the advantage of using my buddy’s lift.

    honestly the pic doesn’t do it justice u can see in real life the difference is major .. I got a baby Carolina squat lol

    yeah I definitely took it to a shop it cost me almost 600 in labor but I brought my own parts

    if I wouldn’t have bought those cam bolts u guys told me about it would of sat in the shop for the weekend, best $200 I ever spent

    I think this is a good lesson learned regarding replacing most if not all of the parts in many situations with OEM parts. I did my complete front end (LCA/UCA, springs, upper/lower ball joints, tie rods, etc. - everything), and in the end while it costs more, there is some satisfaction in knowing your basically back to new.

    I've seen a lot of the videos and posts where they heat up and burn out the LCA bushings and what not, but you still have an old LCA/UCA that could have unseen stress cracks. Plus, a lot of the videos and threads that repairs were being done on a 10 year old Tacoma and the video is 10-12 years old by now, but that means many people are well past 20 years on their Tacomas. OEM parts are more expensive but they will likely outlast the aftermarket stuff which seems to be going downhill by the year.
